Iceland joining the EU is ”Benjamin coming to Egypt”
By Mikkel Stjernholm Kragh
The Icelandic people are the descendants of the Israelite tribe of Benjamin.
As early as the 13th century the Icelandic historian Snorre Sturlasson wrote in The Chronicle of the Kings of Norway (also called Heimskringla) that the ancestors of the Norsemen had trekked to Scandinavia from the Caucasus region and “Turkland” south of the Caucasus under a chief called Odin.
Stig Bergmann of Norway writes:
“Iceland is of the family of Benjamin. The name Iceland [Island] is derived from Is-aac, Is-ra-el. Iceland is the youngest of the nations of Europe. Benjamin, Gen. 49:27, was the youngest of Jacob’s sons. The family of Benjamin had a wolf in its shield. Iceland’s founder was also called ‘wolf’: Ing-wolf, Ing-ulf of Fjordane. The Vikings, the sea wolves, were of the family of Benjamin. They populated the Norwegian Westland, the Shetlands, the Orkney Islands, the Faroe Islands, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Hebrides (the Hebrews), Isle of Man, Iceland, Greenland and Vinland.
The Galileans of Jesus’ time were Benjamites, and they were the only of the tribes of Israel to meet Jesus alive. After Jesus’ Ascension they had to leave the Jews and brought the Gospel with them to ‘the North’ and the other tribes. They were the last to arrive. They had their own dialect. That is why there today is a difference between the East Norwegian and West Norwegian languages. Isaiah 24:14-16 speaks of these islands. Snorre’s Royal Sagas are the chronicle of the family of Benjamin.” (Stig Bergmann: Israelfolket, p. 8 (2007))

Iceland to join to European Union
All the predominantly Israelite nations of Europe are already members of the EU, except Iceland, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Switzerland. But on 16 July, 2009 Iceland applied for membership of the European Union. The plan of the Icelandic government is that Iceland can join the EU in 2012.
This is a prophetic repetition of Benjamin coming to Egypt. Benjamin was the last of the 12 patriarchs to come to Egypt (Gen. 43). Jacob loved Benjamin so much that he for a long time refused to let him go, but eventually he did let him go.
The tribe of Benjamin was the smallest of the tribes of Israel. Iceland, with a population of 319,000, will be the country with the smallest population in the EU when/if the country becomes a member.
EU = Spiritual Egypt
The European Union can be considered Spiritual Egypt, because the Roman world is called thus in Revelation:
“And their bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” (Revelation 11:8)
Iceland’s application for EU membership thus confirms that Iceland is of the tribe of Benjamin.
Note on the Norman Channel Islands
The Normans are by most Christian Israelites recognized as Benjamites. (See for example The Danes, Normans and “French” Canadians by W.H. Bennett.) The Channel Islands, of which Jersey and Guernsey are the largest, are the only parts of the Duchy of Normandy which are still under the British Crown.
That the Channel Islands are not a part of the EU[i] is another indication that the Normans indeed were (and are) Benjamites.
